Vivian Luckiw (she/her) is an art photographer and researcher from Calgary, AB. She earned her BA magna cum laude in Cinema Studies & Moving Image Arts with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Colorado Boulder. She moved on to achieve a Masters of Letters in Film Studies at the University of St Andrews, enjoying the opportunity to travel through Europe before returning to her home in Boulder.
Along with her critical film education, Vivian is an experienced photographer and artist, having hosted a duo exhibition - titled 'Floristic Identities' - and contributed to several other groups installations. Much of her art is based around the idea of the remix; using objects that already exist as their own entity and turn them into the building blocks of something novel. Her favorite way to create is by taking her own photos and dissecting them, looking for the pieces of a new whole. While photography is her primary medium, Vivian has also found success in watercolor, illustration, and creative writing.
Although she is young, Vivian is a passionate creator who is eager for new experiences and is always willing to take on a new project. For questions or comments, please submit via the contact page.
